OVERVIEW

This beautiful 2000 Mainship 390 Trawler, Delta Time III, is a three-owner vessel that has spent the past 20 years in freshwater covered slips of the California Delta. She is in very nice condition and shows true pride of ownership, with numerous upgrades and enhancements throughout.

Powered by a single Caterpillar 3116 300 HP diesel engine with approximately 825 hours, the Mainship 390 offers the efficiency and comfortable cruising characteristics that make this style of trawler so appealing. Her semi-displacement hull provides a comfortable cruising speed of 9–10 knots, with a top speed reaching approximately 14 knots. Equipped with both bow and stern thrusters, Delta Time III offers excellent maneuverability and confidence when handling in close quarters.

The large fiberglass swim platform and centerline transom door provide easy boarding and convenient access to the spacious cockpit. From the cockpit, wide side decks provide safe and easy access forward, while the starboard sliding door offers particularly convenient access to the foredeck. The fully enclosed flybridge extends over the cockpit and provides a large, comfortable outdoor living and helm area.

A large sliding glass door provides entry from the cockpit into the bright and spacious cabin. The interior features an open salon, fully equipped up galley, lower helm station, two staterooms, and a head with a separate stall shower. Teak and holly flooring runs throughout the interior, complemented by teak cabinetry and finishes. Custom bedding, upgraded window coverings, upgraded lighting, and other enhancements give the interior a warm and comfortable feel.

The flybridge is especially well suited for cruising and entertaining, with an expansive layout, built-in seating, a centerline captain’s chair, and a center-mounted cooler/table. The flybridge is fully enclosed with canvas and isinglass, with the enclosure and custom matching covers added in 2024.

Delta Time III also features a substantial collection of upgrades, including integrated electronics at both helm stations, Garmin multifunction displays, radar, GPS/chart plotting, sonar, depth sounder, autopilot, bow and stern thrusters, a Victron Energy twin-inverter system, air conditioning and heat, Fusion stereo equipment, upgraded LED lighting, and custom-made mattress and bedding. Manufacturer’s Description

The Mainship 390 Trawler blends today’s technology with years of experience in crafting thousands of trawlers. Inside the spacious cabin, for example, is a lower helm station that’s complete with full instrumentation and a windshield equipped with wipers and washers. The salon features warm teak highlighted by designer fabrics, a color television and VCR, a stereo, and opening windows with screens. Deck access is made easy for shorthanded cruising with a starboard helm sliding door. There is also a large screened sliding door to the cockpit. The 390 Trawler’s galley is equipped for cruising or entertaining with a range, an oven, a microwave, a full-size refrigerator, an oversize sink, abundant cabinets and Corian countertops. The large master stateroom has a center island bed, cedar-lined hanging lockers, an opening portlight and hatch, and again more storage. For guests, a second stateroom features twin berths along with a hanging locker, storage, an opening hatch and a portlight. And finally, the easy cleaning, molded fiberglass head offers a built-in vanity, a shower, an electric marine toilet, an opening hatch, a portlight and a mirror. The power to travel is provided by a standard single diesel or optional twins. Both include freshwater cooling, an engine alarm system and a standard fire extinguisher system. To make docking easier, a bow thruster is standard on single engine boats and optional on boats with twin powerplants. On the flybridge there is a large area for entertaining or lounging, seating for more than six, and a drop-leaf table. The center helm has great visibility, full instrumentation and plenty of room for electronics (note the radar mast). This deck is reached by a wide, molded stairway with a full handrail. Access forward to the anchor is protected by a high bulwark and a walk-around deck. In the cockpit there is more than ample storage with deep wells and a lazarette.
