Cummins QSM11 version

The 2003 Yacht has twin Cummins QSM11 diesels rated at 660 HP each, for 1,320 total HP. 

A 2003 sea trial with the same twin 660-hp QSM11 package recorded approximately 26 knots at 1,970 RPM and about 32 knots maximum. The test reported roughly 0.72 statute mpg at cruise.

That makes the QSM11 package particularly attractive: strong cruising performance without having to run the engines at maximum RPM.

Interior & Fishing Layout

One thing that makes the Riviera 47 unusual for its size is the combination of a serious fishing cockpit and a very comfortable cruising interior. Factory information describes a large galley-up salon, dinette, master stateroom forward with walk-around queen, second stateroom amidships, additional guest accommodation, and two heads.

For fishing, equipment can include a transom livewell, fish box, tackle center, transom door, rod storage and outriggers. The flybridge has excellent visibility and generous seating, making it equally suitable for offshore fishing or family cruising.

For the 2003 Riviera 47 with the twin 660-HP QSM11s, ar rated 24–27 knots a very comfortable cruise range, with roughly 30–32 knots available at the top depending on load, bottom condition and propellers, recently balanced .
