Growing up in Discovery Bay, where his grandparents owned one of the first waterfront homes, Ryan developed an early passion for boating, skiing, boat camping, and watersports. That lifelong connection to the water naturally evolved into a career dedicated to helping others enjoy boating safely and confidently.

With a background as a Firefighter, EMT, and rescue technician, Ryan understands the importance of safety on the water. In 2017, he founded Boat Safe America, a training company that has provided boating safety instruction to hundreds of individuals and organizations, including PG&E, Google, and the California Department of Water Resources.
